A Moment With Lisa

I went to college for public relations and took graphic design on the side. My internship was at the Ontario Science Center were I worked with people such as David Suzuki, world renown environmentalist, astronauts, scientists, and many other VIP personalities and celebrities. I handled upwards of 30,000 visitors per day and helped to plan five to ten events per week. I publicized the opening of the Tropical Rainforest Exhibit and prowled the floor of the Sea of Cortez live with the Jason project. It was amazing and I was hired on full-time after my internship.

In 1993, I opened my own public relations and design firm and have had a blast ever since. I've also tackled many other professional goals during this time such as publishing a book, acting as my own PR agent, being in the media and on TV many times, being on CBC's Dragon's Den, helping to raise $44,000 for Tsunami relief with Kevin Flynn, Canadian MPP and, for just under ten years, coordinating and running youth entrepreneurship programs for the Ontario government, and much more.

My philanthropic interests lie in helping young adults and those in need. I developed and publish a free, global, monthly, online mentorship magazine, www.empowermenthouse.ca, that offers mentorship, life coaching, psychology tools, inspiration and empowerment to those seeking a helpful and uplifting experience online. David Suzuki is one of my mentors/columnists along with Gloria Jean, The World's Coffee Queen. I also attend university specializing in psychology and social work to become a psychotherapist in 2017 and help young adults and those in need even further. At present, I am a life coach and counselor which I also enjoy immensely.

From events and public relations to publishing and helping those in need, passion is always involved in my work and I love what I do!
